Model T’s model, the Hudsons hum and the Packards pack ‘em
in at the Middlesex County Historical Society’s Antique and
Classic Car Show, held annually each October since 1985.
Each year 250 or more gorgeously restored creampuffs dating from
1886 to 1970 shimmer and purr as they vie for best-of-show trophies.
The dream cars of days gone by compete in 17 categories, some by
production year, others by make and model. Not to be missed are
the glorious muscle cars of the ‘fifties and ‘sixties--
Camaros, Mustangs, Corvettes, and Thunderbirds – and antique
firetrucks, military vehicles and trucks.

The Historical Society’s biggest fund-raiser, the Antique
and Classic Car Show, regularly attracts big wheels in car collecting
from throughout New England and the mid-Atlantic states and about
1500 spectators. Specialty vendors are also on hand to sell automobile
parts and paraphernalia.
The 2006 Antique and Classic Car Show will be held on Sunday,
October 1 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Pat Kidney Field on Farm
Hill Road in Middletown . Judging is at noon . Admission is $3
