Collections and Exhibits
Civil War Exhibit
The experiences of local Union soldiers come vividly to life in our permanent exhibit, Hard Tack, Salt Pork and Faith, in which soldiers’ own words are juxtaposed with their belongings.

Their Own Stories
Hear the voices from Middletown’s melting pot. Our virtual exhibit chronicles the worlds of a nearly a dozen groups, beginning in 1650 with the Wangunk Indians and the early English colonists. It looks at Africans and follows the waves of European immigrants – Irish, Swedes, Poles, Germans, Jews, Italians and Greeks – who sought a better life in America.
